Congratulations to Eagle Scout Evan Ybarra
Evan has been a valuable member of Troop 692 since he transitioned from Cub Scouts. Shortly before his 18th birthday, he met all the requirements to become an Eagle Scout. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Evan showed remarkable resilience, took on leadership roles within the Troop, and inspired his peers to become the best versions of themselves.
Thrustworthy - Loyal - Brave - Friendly - Courteous - Kind - Obident - Cheerfull - Thrifty - Brave - Clean - Reverant
Evan chose his Eagle Scout project to support the American Legion by designing, engineering, building, and delivering a flag retirement receptacle. Scouting emphasizes the importance of honoring the nation by respecting the flag—from its first hoisting up the flagpole to its final descent and subsequent retirement. This flag retirement receptacle provides the community with a place to respectfully retire their flags, thus honoring our great nation.
Almost every member of Troop 692 contributed to building this receptacle. We invite you to peruse the accompanying photos to see how this project came together and to view the final delivered build.
The final product appears here and can be utilized at the American Legion Post 472 in Harrisburg Tx.
