Camp Brosig Febuary 2022

Using the knots learned during the campout the boys laid out ropes to build a bridge.
The bridge had to span 50 foot and be strong enough to suppot 250lbs.
The Troop worked diligently for several hours until the bridge was ready for test.
Every one enjoyed the fire to inclued the adult leaders. The fire provideded heat, warmth and some smokey smell to all our clothes.
Troop 692 visited camp Brosig in Febuary 2022. This campout was Pioneer theemed with lots of knots challenges. The boys learned how to create proper lashings. the first thing they made was a weather canister. If the cansister was wet it meant it wass raining. if it was dry it meant it wasn't raining. If it was swinging it meant it was windy.
It was rainy and chilly so the boys built a small fire from some of the available wood. They used a tepee configuration to ensure that the fire would continuue throught the afternoon.
After all the boys made the treak across the bridge theis victory photo was taken. Great Job Troop 692!
After Assembling the bridge each boy had to cross it. This mean that from the smallest to teh largest each boy had to walk across it and be supported by it.
